Default how do you remove this plastic piece

How do you remove this plasic piece around the shifter? it or somthing under it buzzes and rattles when i go down the freeway.

this is not a pic from my car it is a pic i got from AM.

Im pretty sure it just pops out or it does on my 96 gt

Just yank it out. Put your fingers along the top (where you first 2 arrows are) and pull upwards and a little back, but once it clicks out be careful because the powerport is still plugged in. So pop it free then unplug the electrical connector.

yep it just pops out, wrap your thumbs around it. or go to an auto store or harbor freight and get the plastic coated interior trim pullers.
