Another option to get you in the range of hp you want would be something like the 5.0 ford cammer race engine. Just throwing out another ideal even though the engine is a little costly.

well we need more info.... what are you looking to obtain power wise? (rwhp) Do you want to go N/A or get blown? nitrous ?
if i were to do it over again i would go turbo.. incredible power gains. you get more out of a turbo anyway. you can adjust boost from a boost contorller, which is good for everyday driving; and when you want to race, up the boost. and as far as the turbo burning up that is why you get a turbo timer. As far as ease on your motor a turbo is much better. there is not constant boost as with a supercharger... GO TURBO

Get blown. j/k what's n/a stand for anyway?

N/A = Natural Aspirated or means no force induction or no Turbo or S/C
