I posted this in the general but thought I should post here as well; So after getting gears installed and messing with the tune just driving around if I go somewhat WOT I can hear kind of a weird noise that only comes when it is about to shift. Its not that loud just a weird noise that almost sounds like a short burst of air. Kind of hard to describe... Never heard it before the tune when I started messing with shift pressures and times. Do you think it is harmful if driven for long periods? I am planning on going to track this Friday not to necessarily do runs but to meet n greet some peeps from the forums here so maybe I could let them hear it as well on Friday to get a better idea of the noise? I don't know I have always been rather **** about any squeaks and creaks on any and all vehicle I have ever driven. Or maybe it's just a little pride in what I have.. Anyways any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

did you do the install of gears yourself? did you use friction modifier?

shop install, the guys that installed I learned from a friend after install too race on a reg basis so not too worried about their expertise on this, no whine shifts fine just the weird pfft noise that i only can hear with the windows down, from what i can hear with my "trained" ears it sounds more like from tranny area forward anyways, also I know I need to contact Bama sometime next week as right before shifts my tach will flutter before dropping into higher gear and never did before started messing with shift pressures and times with the SCT tuner as the tunes they sent were a little too firm for me. WannaBeGearHead rode with me today and experienced it as well. Just weird $%#^
