Convertible top leaked- Water inside
I was cleaning my moms 2001 Convertible yesterday when I noticed there was a lot of water under the rear seat that had leaked in through the top somwhere in the rear.
Is there an easy way to pop out the rear seat so I can dry out the carpet under the seat? Thanks for the help.
(Thought I was in general discussion- Feel free to move- Sorry)

To pop out the rear seat should be simple. There are two 'clips' that hold the seat in place on the bottom cushion. There is a specific way to get the seat off the 'clips' but I don't remember if its similar to pushing down then up on each side or something.
On the convertible top itself, is any of the stitching missing?

they are hard to see unless you lift up the cushon alittle. You just have to push them in and it should pop up, sometimes they are a pain and i use a flat head screw driver, but be careful they break easy. Then the back part comes out in 2 bolts under them.

Simple , just push back toward the rear of the car about one half inch then, up out of the hook, once both sides are unhooked you can pull the seat strait out,, if you find a lot of money under there, i got dibbs on some of it,,,, just kidding !!!!
