The Weapon X Street COPs are $270.

Buy a 1/4" drive torque wrench. A good one is $75 to $100+, but that's a lot cheaper than getting a timsert installed...
Yes, the ones you have on your website, you seem like a rather technical guy that knows his stuff, and I have heard that there is absolutely no benefit from new COPs, the stock ones do the job fine, but then I saw your car's website...

My friend really likes his.
I would also change your spark plugs since you will be taking the cops
out anyway.
deffinetly, might as well just do the fuel filter and all the other tune up stuff, too.

While it's down there, i'll ask them how much to port n polish my intake manifold.

It seems to be the case that FORD dropped the ball, there is simply not enough thread for the plugs...

Ford engineered the heads to have the plugs changed 2, maybe 3, times in the life of the car (100k intervals). The minimal thread is to insure that the plugs do not seize up after being in there for 5 to 6 years.

That is why we (the performance community) have to use anti-seize compound, and carefully torque the plugs, when we change them every time we feel like it.

[soapbox]
I have changed my plugs 10 or 12 times in 70k miles--5 or 6 times in the last 1-1/2 months while doing some temperature tests on various resistor and solid core plugs--and have had no problems of any sort.

However I DO use anti-seize, and a known accurate 1/4" drive torque wrench to torque them to 13lb/ft, each and every time--to not do so, and espouse a "I don't need no stinking torque wrench" attitude as many have done in challenging my position on this is, just asking for trouble...

I have a couple of torque wrenches lying around, i'll be fine.

Come to think about it I have never done anything with the plugs, it did just role over 100k miles, seems about time.

Of to JBA, not sure if I'll go with the helicoil or the timesert.

8 new spark plugs

Depending on what they are going to charge me for one COP, I might upgrade to the Weapon Xs.

A new serpentine belt is in order, too.

I would not use a Helicoil, the only thing they have going for them is they cost less; and there's a reason for that--they are worth less...

Timesert, 8 new plugs, 1 OEM COP and a new fan belt.

Should be done tomorrow.
