Yea i would deffinetly check the plugs. The symptoms your having is exactly what happened to my 2000. Pulled out of a parking lot and got on it and there was a loud pop and the car had no power like i spun a bearing.
Is this a joke? Your sig says you have a Short Throw...which means you have a manual transmission, which doesn't have a TC...soooo....wtf? Might be the throw out bearing though...
