Default Acceleration goes flat

Hey guys, I have an 01 Gt that's an auto and that also has 4.10's. It has other mods aswell but here is the problem. It pulls very well down low but after 70 the aceleration kind of goes flat. This is not really from a dead stop full launch but really getting on it from a roll. Is it the gears? Do I need a higher stall converter? And when I say " goes flat " I don't mean it stops accelerating, it just doesn't pull as hard " i just wanted to be clear ". Is this normal? Is it just me? Anyways, let me know what you may think and thank you for the info ).

Did you have the tune changed when you installed the 4.10s?

If not then that's your problem, there are a number of shift settings that relate throttle position to vehicle speed and engine speed to vehicle speed--they get confused when you change rear drive gears on a slushbox.

I don't know the exact things that need to be changed but one of the auto guys will know...

Sure I changed the axel ratio. It's the first thing I did with my tuner when I put the gears in. I have since reinstalled the 93 tune after I put my new JLT intake on and I could instantly tell a difference in the shift points so I know it's doing it's job. I don't know, maybe i'm too much of a speed demon to realize what I have already is fast and I just want more . I will put a higher performance stall converter on and see what that gets me. I was going to put one on anyway since I want to go higher. Thanks for the response though. I'm starting to think that i'm just hooked and want more.

It's more than just the shift points that need to be tweaked, though it may be that your tuner (a person or device) has done that when you told them/it you had 4.10s...
