use a hair dryer, or a heat gun on the lowest setting. A heat gun will put out enough heat to soften the clearcoat, so be careful! Once it has been warmed up, I used a 24" piece of string and went from left to right on the foam.

The easiest (and safest) way to get the remaining foam and glue residue off is to use a naptha soaked rag. Naptha will not harm the clearcoat and does a pretty good job and removing the foam and glue residue.

It took me about 45 mins taking my time and making sure the glue was off 100%
how long did you use the hair dryer on it?

Not terribly long, maybe 3 or 4 minutes, moving back and forth. If you live in a hot area, it may take less time.
