Default Badge Removal

How can you remove the ford badge? and is it screwed or glued on?

I took my car to a body shop.. Gave them a hundred bucks, they took the badges off, filled the holes and painted the spots where did badges were.

It's not that hard to do really. If you don't want to do it yourself just take it to a reputable bodyshop and ask them how much would they charge for the badge removal..

I think they are at least 1/8" to 1/4" holes.

yeah maybe i'll just go with a body shop doing the removal then. also, soldier gt, your car in your sig is insanely nice

I just did the svt badge that was on the terminator decklid I bought. No holes, and it was easy.

use a hair dryer, or a heat gun on the lowest setting. A heat gun will put out enough heat to soften the clearcoat, so be careful! Once it has been warmed up, I used a 24" piece of string and went from left to right on the foam.

The easiest (and safest) way to get the remaining foam and glue residue off is to use a naptha soaked rag. Naptha will not harm the clearcoat and does a pretty good job and removing the foam and glue residue.

It took me about 45 mins taking my time and making sure the glue was off 100%
