maybe try turning the wheel all the way to the left and start it while keeping pressure to the left on the wheel?

The only real way to check a battery is under load, ideally at 1/2 the CCA (Cold Cranking Amperage) rating or 3 times the A/h rating. A voltmeter reading will not detect a weak cell because not enough load is applied.

HF has one tester that's better than a voltmeter but not perfect, and one that can really wring out a battery.

Weak cells can seem to work fine one moment, and miserably fail the next--see if there's an auto electric shop that can really test the battery before you spend money on other things.

Wait it works if you keep playing with the ground? If thats the case i could check for a loose connection.

Well, if the battery doesn't have a shorted cell, you may have a failing ignition switch, or a highly resistive corrosion build up in the ground wire for your battery. Have you tried a jumper cable from the battery the engine ground point (in place of the ground wire since you mentioned removing it repeatedly)?? When you turn the key can you hear a single click?
