Hey guys, so recently my 2002 GT started making some weird noises from the steering column when my turn signal is on. It almost sounds like a cross between static and popcorn popping (weird I know). It is an intermittent problem, random so far as I can tell, so I can't get a sound clip. Also, I think it may be related, the turn signal doesn't come on sometimes. Any ideas on what this may be? I was thinking left turn signal fluid... but seriously, its kind of pissing me off.

Multi function switch possibly failing/loose connection and the sound is arcing occurring, which can start fires, which is bad, so you may want to fix that lol.

on that diagram i dont see a steering gear. do you have another diagram? is this gear in the dash or the other side of the fire wall?

i have way to much play in my steering.
