Default Swishing noise from motor? Thoughts??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3Zh7wrWOXQv Listen really carefully and you can hear it..

So there's this sound coming from under my hood. I can't pin point the location but it kinda sounds like from the front like by the alternator. It sounds like a kind of "swishing" noise. Sorta like the sound you hear if you put your ear to a screw driver and place it against your alternator. You guys know the sound I mean right? It's like that just louder.
Btw, it's not always constant. If I drive it around it does it and sitting idle, then if it sits for like 20 minutes and you start it up, it's gone but comes back about 5 minutes later.

Edit: It wouldn't be anything with the clutch would it? I just replaced all of that last summer and the new parts only have about 900 miles on them.

Reason I stated that is I had to replace mine for similar noise.
Mine had two and replaced both and all noises where gone.

Simple job
BTW .. I replaced belt while I had i apart even though it wasn't worn.
Just for piece of mind.

Good Luck

Both of the pulleys are the exact same right? I'd need 2 Idler/Tensioner pulleys?

Not sure if you solved issue yet but.

Did you replace the belt also?

No, but I checked the belt for cracks and wear and it was a little glazed but fine otherwise.

Well maybe its the water pump bearing or alt bearing?
One way you can test things is pull off the belt and spin the water pump pulley by hand and see if you hear any noise.
Also if your car has A\C could be the A\C pump .

But from your video it really sounded like a pulley or some where in that area.
My guess now would be alt bearing.
Wish I could help more.but that video its really tough to figure out.

Good Luck

But if it were a bearing, why wouldn't it do it from start to stop and not just when warm?
