Default Before timing cams...

While the heads are still off the car, should I find TDC of the black before putting the heads on and timing the cams? Or will I be fine putting the heads on first and doing all timing steps after the heads are on?

U can do it either way....i prefer to always work with #1 on tdc unless the cam doesnt allow it... on these mod motors there are "safe spots".....piont the crank keyway straight up and then bolt down the cams....

Definitely do TDC with the heads off on a 2V if you are degreeing the cams in.
