Default Calling All Techs

Hey guys , I have a 2000 Mustang GT, Auto, with about 70k on the clock. I love my stang, makes me feel like i can fly so to speak. Which all leads into my questioning about things that i've always wondered. 1. My stang isnt my daily driver but, I drive it like 2 weeks out of the month and i have a performance tune on it from my flash tuner is it ok to drive with it tuned for performance when i drive it or should i switch it to factory settings? 2. I drive ALOT with overdrive turned off is that harmful to the car? 3. Switching from 1 to 2 to Drive, and sometimes from drive to 2 is that harmful also? What rpm should the car be at in park and in drive? Right now in park its at like 600 and in drive when im at a light its right at 500 rpm. I would like to take car of my car and a better knowledge of whats going on will help me do that, thanks in advance!
P.S. How do I setup a signature for my account?

leave it as is and put it in drive and you're good to go. manually switching the gears in an auto isn't the best idea IMO. your car sounds like it is running fine.

btw..you can edit your signature in the user cp. you'll have to upload a photo to a site like photobucket first and then copy the link into the scripted window that appears when you click the insert image button.

Only time to use the overdrive button is for going down steep grades to help with engine breaking, or if you are traveling through a series of hills to keep it from constantly shifting back and forth in and out of overdrive. It won't do anything but hurt the fuel mileage to drive around normal with the OD off. But a set of 4.10 gears out back would make it so you don't have to lol
