Default Lightweight rims

Ok i was curious to know how much stock rims weigh on the 99-04 GT's, I'm looking into aftermarket rims but afraid of losing acceleration from a gain in rotating mass. Anyone have info on lightweight rims or should i stick with the stock combo. Lightest wheel i found were Steeda Ultralites 18" rim 24lbs 5 spoke.

ANd yes i did search but a lot didn't find a whole lot.

Why is this a funny post??

The rotational mass of the wheels has a huge impact on performance.....I have heard good things about the steedas. You could always go with a set of welds or bogarts

yea i'd love to kno why my post is funny or you made it obvious you weren't smart enough for physics. or whats funny is that you muscle guys jus want more power, but there are plenty of different ways to go fast without power mods.

While the carbon fiber rim could be an option i'm sure they would be costly. Do you have any links to the welds? or bogarts?

Sure there are... does it mean it's smart? NO!

Why not spend $1,000 on exhaust and beat the crap out of the car with $2,000 wheels....

I'm not saying its the best way, but it's something most people don't think about that really does help you. Otherwise why would drag racers be using 20 inch rims all blinged to hell to show off their rides!
