The car won't take any throttle when you give it in drive. I got the code saying 'fuel rail sensor circuit malfunction'. Is this something i should let my local shop do or something I could do with general knowledge?

Their are only 2 sensors it can be. 1 is on the drivers side next to the plenum, and the other is on the intake tube that goes into the throttle body. Almost positive it's the one on the drivers side.

What would you suggest? Thanks for your time

There's only one fuel rail pressure sensor, it is on the driver's side fuel rail.

The shop manual says this about P0190 "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction".

Vref is the 5.0V signal supplied by the PCM to the sensor--here's a diagram of the connector:

Vref is the brown/white wire, check the voltage between that and the return wire (gray/red)--if it's 4.0 to 6.0V then the sensor is bad, if it's not then there's an open/shorted wire in the harness or the PCM is bad.

These sensors pop like fuses on these cars. Especially in boosted applications. Hell I know people who ride around with an extra 1 in the glovebox. Its a super easy swap man if you got the part knock it out
