I believe that's the same outfit that I dealt with. I just remember the dude sent me the correct part immediately. Not sure why any UDP dealer would not recognize that there are different ones and try to get that straight the first or at least 2nd try. What the h311?

This is unacceptable. Hope you get it straightened out.

I'm not 100% sure, as I haven't looked at my alternator in a little while, but I recall some of you mentioning that there is a spacer welded to the back of some of the pulleys. In the mean time, would it be possible to find a washer or 2 to place behind the pulley, to give you proper spacing, or is there only one way to put on the pulley?? (i.e. alternator pulley shaft is keyed)

I don't remember mine being keyed, but it only goes on one way. If you have the correct pulley for your car, it will be obvious and will work. It will be trial and error initially. I don't know enough about stangs from the early 90s, so I'm no help there. The '02+ go on one way, as the integrated spacer juts out one side.

I'm not sure about using washers on these things. That has bad written all over it to me. But, again, I'm not an expert here.

UPDATE (8.15.01)

Well, I FINALLY got the correct water pump today from Steeda. Just slapped her on, but have not had the chance to take her for a run yet. Everything looks good though and I’m glad that this ordeal is finally over. I just wish Steeda would have made up for the extreme hassle, burden, and shipping costs (three times!!!) that I have been dealing with since June on account of their mistake. [:@] The did send me a catalog this time!
