Default compression test on a 4.6

Im doing a compression test om my car tomorrow and this is all I know to do to do the test, let me know if I miss anything. engine has to be warm, take out all sparkplugs, disconect coils, gas pedal wide open. Is this all I have to do or is there something i missed? What kinda compression do these engine normaly put out? thanks

The PI service specs are 150 to 190psi, with the lowest cylinder being no less than 75% of the highest and no cylinder being less than 140psi.

Note that these are "service specifications", meaning basically that Ford will not perform warranty service for an engine that falls into these ranges. To make me happy I'd want to see 165psi+ and all cylinders within 10psi of one another.

I do not have any reference to the specs for your '96, however the "lowest cylinder being no less than 75% of the highest" part holds true...
