5.4 swap benefits?
I'm thinking that I'm going to get a new block from MMR at some point, and was wondering what the benefits of swapping a 5.4 in would be. I'm planning on throwing a Kenne Bell on as well if that makes a difference.
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think that there might be a space issue. Has anyone had any experience with this at all?

eh if he's already replacing the shortblock and going to KB it there really isnt any hidden costs. doesnt have to buy the new manifold, he can reuse his pi heads and cams, etc...
you will most likely need to get a cowl hood tho with a top mount blower. guy on another forum did the lightning swap (eaton) and he had to notch his hood a little bit underneath but was able to keep the stock hood. you may or may not be so lucky and i cant tell you for sure cuz i havent seen a kb'd 5.4 swap yet.

That was my train of thought. The 5.4 block is a couple hundred bucks more than the 4.6, so its not a huge deal. I have a cervinis stalkerhood, I wonder if it will fit under that fine...

I built the blown 5.4 in this car. There is no hood that can fit it completely, take a look at how tall this hood is and it still needed to be cut. I am not a fan of this swap to be honest unless you can really open your wallet wide, and few are willing to do that. Long tube headers are over $1K and are mandatory IMHO.
