Recall on intakes. They suck
Hey guys I just got off the phone with a ford dealership regarding my intake manifold[:@] on my 96 gt. The guy I spoke with asked for my vin number and checked to see if I was covered under the recall. He said that in 1995 they extended it for seven years so that means I would have had to go before 2002. It didnt matter the mileage. This is the second time that i had to deal with a stinking recall. I owned a 1997 f150 with the 4.2l v6 that had a recall on the front cover gasket. When the gasket fails it lets coolant inside the motor. They screwed me with that also. I hate ford and i will never own another ford again they are trash. Just wanted to let yall know whats going on.

hahhaha thanks but we have a whole post about it and they will be giving back money for the intake swap starting in September is the talk . Maybe that will change your mind about never owning another ford.

Yeah I bought the car last year. And another thing is that a recall shoudnt have a expiration date. It is there screw up. Thats why they got sewed. Sorry about the people that dont have the money for a new car and get ripped by ford. The age of the car isnt the reason why the intaked cracked.

Ok maybe this will clear things up. Ford had to go to court about it and yes they are supposivly going to pay people for the swap or pay for the swap if you did it before. There were rumors about Ford not expanding the recall to the 96-98 gt's but I think that was shot down and every Gt from 96-02 will be covered.....she may have died when you hit here with the chair, she may have died when you shoved all those dollar bills down her throat, I dont know, Im not a doctor...
