I'm lookin to buy an 02 gt-love the car-only thing holding me back is its an auto-anyone know where they sell kits of auto to manual swaps?

well if you havent bought the car yet, maybe try looking for a 5-speed? If your worried about it not performing up with the 5-speeds you could always get a shift kit, then your eating manual stangs up all day.

yes, it would be stupid to go out and buy a auto if you are just going to swap it to a manual. To do it right is gonna cost quite a bit of dough, espcially if you cannot do it yourself.

However, I highly doubt that a auto GT is gonna hang with a 5spd (with a good driver) with just a shift kit. Maybe a shift kit and some 4.10s.

auto GTs with shift kits and a good stall will run even or faster than a 5-speed with an average driver, and we all arent the best drivers in the world.
