I want to know what mods would be the best to improve quarter mile times and give me the best traction

At the risk of offending--the first would be to read the "stickies" and second learning to use the forum's search function.

These sort of general questions have been asked and answered hundreds, maybe thousands, of times--read all that then ask some specific questions, people here will be more than willing to help you out...

Thanks, no offense taken but i never seem to be able to find what i am looking for using the search function. It brings up a bunch of stuff i am not interested in. I am just trying to figure out how to get the best time.

Well I am assuming best time for the money. If you have liquid money then you would not have any trouble reaching the best time. In my opinion I would say ( and I was thinking this for myself ) Change the heads, cam, TB, and get a tune done. As far as traction goes the more rubber you can put on the ground the better. A 125 nitrous shot couldn't hurt either.

I have a d1sc procharger and a nitrous kit. The nos is not currently installed. I have 10.5 inch rear tires but they are street tires. Nittos 555 i think. I have a good amount of power but was wondering other things to improve my time. What would be the biggiest bang for the buck. I heard a new rear diff would help and control arms for traction. I dont really know what to do to inprove my time that is why i am asking for some recommendations. I appreciate the help.

Full length sub frame connectors are #1.
Then lower control arms for the rear.
Ive heard of people using Fox springs and getting good results with those. Also a biggy is some drag radials.

Personally what I plan to do is get a set of track wheels and tires. A set of 15" wheels and some Hoosier quicktime pros or M/T ET streets will really get you some traction. Also UCA/LCA and full length subframes are always a good place to start. Also to improve times it's not a bad idea to get a 2-step and a shift lite, I think it makes things a little easier. The 2 step I have and I plan on getting a lite soon.

What suspension mods do you already have?

I would place the to-get list in this order:

1. Full-length subframe connectors.

2. Upgrade to steeper gears and a 31 spline setup if you haven't already.

3. Slicks

4. Upper and lower control arms, lowers being first if you can only get one at a time.

5. Shocks and struts.

6. Springs. The stock springs are already pretty decent for drag racing. You can run an even better drag setup for really cheap. Factory Fox V8 rear springs (200-300lb progressive ones), and Factory Fox 4cyl springs in the front.

Tires is #1. Refine all the other stuff as/if needed after trying out a good set. This will save you on all the trial-and-error guesswork and $ spent. I was thinking about control arms and all the other stuff but the ET Street Radials have worked well enough thusfar running 12.3s. Ofcourse, you're putting down more power than I so suspension work may be needed. Rolling the clutch out vs. dumping it also pays dividends.

read the sticky for the how-to stuff. its either this section or 4.6 general. its called how to get an NA gt into the 12's or something. that will be a good starting point for you.
