Default 3rd gear trans problem

So I just noticed that everytime I try to shift into 3rd gear it grinds and then will go into gear. I'm not having any other problems with any other gear, just 3rd. Does anyone know what may be my problem. It doesn't matter if I'm shifting from 2nd to 3rd or 4th to 3rd it does it all the time. Also I'm pretty sure my throw out bearing is going bad too cause it makes a 3650 trans. Thanks in advance

It may be too late, however this TSB addresses the issue you are experiencing--how long have you had the car, have you ever changed the transmission fluid?

I have no idea what this statement means, perhaps you could rephrase it?

Rebuilding a transmission is not a "newbie" sort of task--what sort of experience/tool collection do your have?

Here's a link to the T-3650 service manual (you may have a T-45 depending on when your 2001 rolled off the line)...
