everything on and in radiator is clean. New stock radiator! Car runs strong and sounds nice but even when its cold as heck out it can run pretty warm. No I have not gotten another gauge yet as I did not want to start changeing alot of stuff on it. I took the plastick cover compleatly off. Also if I take the cap off the radiator everything is fine but if I rev the motor it pushes out fast. Is this normal for the modular motors? Ask for a 160 thermo at the part store and was told they don't make it for a 96 cobra???? what the hell lol. Fan does come on but I feel it could come on sooner. thanks for all the help

Your mixture of antifreeze to water could affect how efficently it cools as well. not sure what you filled it with when you put a new one in.

My 4v setup ran hot, in the upper normal range of the gauge, swapped out to a fluidyne radiator, replaced the waterpump, and run a flexalite slimboy fan and my gauge never even gets close to half way now. The electric fan hasn't had to kick on one time yet.
