Need Help! 305/40/18 Nitto 555r with factory rear springs?

Yesterday I installed an Eibach Pro-Kit along with a new wheel/tire combo. Anthracite Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels (18x10) with 305/40/18 Nitto 555r DR's. I knew rubbing would be an issue but never thought it would be so severe. I nearly ruined the driver side rear tire while pulling out of the driveway after the install. I am aware of fender rolling but at this time that is really not an option, however I would like to have this done in the future. Does anyone know if reinstalling the factory rear springs will prevent any further rubbing? Im hoping that extra inch will solve my problem. Im not really concerned with the "raked" look as I have the factory 17" bullitts up front.

Car is an 04 GT.

285/35/18 is a better option on a lowered car and even with factory height because of the lower spring rate of the factory springs you'll rub and god forbid you should stick someone in the backseats.

A few issues in play here...

The first is diameter of the tires is real large and rubbing with a very nearly 27.75" tire does not surprise me at all on a lowered SN95.

The second issue I see is taking rolling of the fenders out of the equasion here. If the tires are so severely damaged, I am sure it is from this issue, as I don't see anything else that would cause such damage (pics?)

The third issue is raising the car back up will not solve your issue. You will gain some clearance, but as our resident facist has already mentioned, the car will still travel to the location in which you have caused damage sooner or later.

Another thing I see that you have not mentioned, but see as an issue, is ABS sensor problems. I figure you ABS sensor has triggered a light on your dash?

I don't see a practicle resolution to your issue without changing your tires to a lower profile set... sorry :(

Jazzer :)

I got 18x10 with 295/35 Nitto INVO's on my 04 with maxspeed lowering springs, on swooping bumps on the highway I can scratch (not cut deeply) my tires on the fender (not rolled) I also have my rear ISO's taken out. I'm thinking to put the ISO's back in to gain another 1/4" and or to have the fenders rolled

I put the factory springs back on last night. I'm still having minimal rubbing but only when hitting large bumps or pulling into steep driveways. Nowhere near what it was doing before. I'm fairly confident rolling the fenders will for the most part solve this issue. No ABS issues. Thanks for ya'lls input!

ABS light came on while on the hwy. Whats the cause of this?

^As Jazzer hinted at, the ABS light is due to having rear tires that are larger in diameter than the fronts (approx. 26" in front vs. 27.75" in rear). It's throwing the speed sensors off because the front and rear wheels are spinning at different rates.

That's the first time I've been called out on that, and in a rather unique way, thanks for the laughs. Little background on the name, I was born on the island but left as a child(I like guns, freedom, and Mustang GT's)back to thread. What wheels have you got on the car? As my feline friend asked: got any pics?

Pepe my garage for a few more pics, but just your standard knock-off Saleens.

Man I thought 10" wide fronts would poke out, they look great and the drop is just right. I looked into getting the GR-40 setup it sure is pricey but I'm sure it's well worth it. Are you able to run 10" fronts because of the GR-40 K-member and arms?
