I didnt stroke my WAP block I broed it 20 over. My buddy has a 5.1 stroker in his car and loves it.

Pros: They sounds mean as hell due to the displacement over stock

Cons: Little more money for the stroker assembly

To be honest, I had big plans of doin a big bore stroker setup. Then I started looking at the power people were getting out of forged stock bore/stroke 4.6's and decided for my goals I didn't need to spend the extra money just for the cool factor. For an N/A or nitrous motor It might be worth it, but for a boosted motor I don't think it is.

what i heard for turbo's is that the stroker will help the spool time. not that its a huge deal, since a properly sized turbo will spool fine with a 4.6 anyways and theres a bunch of other factors there too.

btw, anyone know if its worth it to buy an MMR block? i guess its really dependant on persons opinion, but i'd really like to learn to build my own motor. would it be cheaper to build it myself?

im going with an rgr built 4.6 stroker to a 5.0

pros for me, lighter wieght (aluminum block, gonna be able to pound out 22 pounds of boost, gonna make 800+ hp)

cons: costing me 4800 for the block and internals, 2000 for the trick flow heads, and 700 for the comp cams stage 4 specs. gotta get a new flywheel and flexplate being the crank is an 8 bolt. etc.etc.etc.

i believe with strokers the big thing you get is a torque increase. which obviously helps low end. atleast that was the big increase on my 347. but i believe if you're boosted just save the money you'd spend on stroking it and just get some blower cams.
