Default pros and cons of a stroker

the title is pretty self evident. what would be some of the pros and cons of building a stroker out of the 4.6?

If she is not a stroker she better be a blower.

Sorry I have nothing of value for your thread

Pro: more cubes
con: you gotta swap the badge (lol)

not really sure if its just something i heard or how true it is, but typically i've heard that if you stroke it, you lose RPM's. one pro tho, is that you can retain the stock(or equiv) block without havin to buy motor mounts or anythin...

my question for this thread is, when i do rebuild my 4.6 for more turbo boost, should i stroke it(MMR stroker 5.0 block)?

IMO if you are a guy who loves mod motors and the challenge of running N/A it's a must. I definitely plan on it. Don't see an immediate need for it if you're boosted though. Unless you plan to go big.
Cons would be trying to find a shop to do a decent job, tracking down the tools to do it yourself and/or the price of either. Because... hell, if you are going to have it all tore down, why not port/polish your heads and cam the damn thing.

Im bored and stroked to a 5.0 and forged with a tekskid block. You just have more displacement, as mentioned above, being stroked. Im aiming for 500-600rwhp for now and my block handles 850+. Its all up to your budget and plans. Stroking it isnt going to make it crazy fast but itll help a bit depending on your goals. So basically tell us what you want to do for the car and the budget and we can help you out.

atm? lol 600-700 rwhp on a boosted set up. ill be able to do that with the turbo set up i am looking at and i would imagine that it would make it easier with the larger displacement but other than that would it have any other benefits?

Pro: You get an extra couple cubes.
Con: It usually costs a little more. If you plan on a super high rpm N/A setup a stroker might not be the best idea. But most people don't go that route.

it makes it easier to get there im saying than it would be with just a regular 4.6. You wont have to run as much boost.
