Leaking Intake Manifold Gasket

Leaking Intake Manifold Gasket
Hello All,
About 6 months ago I had a coolant leak from what I thought was the manifold, but turns out is was the gasket on. I replaced both gaskets and things were perfect. The first leak was on the passenger side and now I have a leak on the drivers side. It is not that hard to pull it all off and do it again but I was wondering if it would be ok to put additional sealant on the gasket to ensure there are not any more leaks?
I know the intake is not cracked and I can see where it is leaking inbetween the intake and the head.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve

I wouldn't think you need silicone since they did not do it at the factory, maybe you got a bad batch of gaskets. It wouldn't hurt to put some silicone on to be sure but don't go crazy to where it will all squeeze out when you tighten the intake on.

just for thought,,,but most new intakes *like the replacement I put on my '99* have gaskets and seals attached to the manifold, so there is no need for gaskets..
