Default Stumped. HVAC heater controls.

Well I was driving the car this weekend and its getting pretty cold in NE PA. All day my heat was fine, then later in the day I went to put the heat on and no matter which option you choose (vent, floor,ac, def, etc) it only blows defrost.......... the temperater range and fan speed work fine just the option select always goes to defrost. I haven't done to much research but does anyone have an idea?

How many times do I have to tell you Uber! Stop driving your car under water!!!!! You have to at least install Gills on it if you want to continue doing so..

It must of been the salt water that clogged it

Usually it's the vac lines on the back that have slipped off the controls when this happens. Pop the panal off and peak quickly. Should be an easy fix.

+1 it will be a vacuum line. The same thing happened on my explorer. I had to search through the engine bay for a broken line then search inside one of the fenders for the other broken half.

The first place to check would be behind the heater controls.

Hmm I'll have to check it out, this might explain the air hiss/air leak noise I can hear somewhere around the firewall/plastic cowl when I turn the car off last about 5 seconds after i turn the car off.
