Default Screamin Deamon coils, any reliability issues?

Hi all,

My tuner says he does not like the Screamin Deamon coil packs, and that the stock ones are far more reliable. Has any one had any issues, or heard any negative remarks about them?

i wouldnt waste the money changing them now unless you just really want to, but when you start missing down the road then i would replace them with motorcrafts, they are better than a lot of the aftermarket ones out.

Thanks, I still have the stockers, but I had only heard good things about the Deamons, especially if supercharged. I'll keep the stock ones around just in case.

I have screemin demons on my car, I picked them up about 4 years ago used of the corral forums and never had a lick of trouble with them yet. I first installed them when my 4v swap was NA and notcied a difference is idle smoothness and throttle response.

Cool, good to hear a real world review. I'm not going to change them unless I have an issue later on. Thanks

What did you gap your plugs? The spec sheet with the coils said .060-.065, but now my tuner is saying to go back and regap to.030 regardless of what they said. He is turning into a pain in the ***. He never explains, just decrees, I hate that.

I have my plugs gapped at .32, .60 is way to much for a supercharged car. The spec on the coil packs and derived for a car naturally aspirated. My tuner told me anywhere between .30 and .35
