Default kenne bell questions

since the kenne bell is mostly sitting the boost through the rpm range would the gas mileage be bad with that kind of set up? also what affect if any does the rear gearing have on the s/c?

you only boost when you stomp the gas pedal, do the math.

why would gearing have any effect on the blower itself. you probably dont want real tall gears tho without some badass tires and suspension.

I have a 2.1L and havent run a full tank without hitting boost but I used to get 300 miles on a tank i've done good to get 250 so far. Been trying to cruise a whole tank to see what it will get. Highway MPGs seem to be fine but it starts sucking that fuel up in city traffic. Its surprisingly easy to get into boost. I see 1-3 PSI all the time when giving a tad of throttle in OD passing dumbasses going 40 in a 55.

well i ask that cuz i saw somewhere that boost on a turbo set up can be affected due to the gearing and i didnt know if it was the same on a supercharger set up

the BOOST can be, but not the unit itself. and with a kenne bell your in full boost from 2k to redline. gearing will have zero effect on that, just your traction.

with turbos, you don't want tall gearing. keeping lower gears allows you to stay in max boost over a longer period of time.

I have to ask. Why would you worry about gas milage when your wanting to put on a S/C? Anytime I've ever started modding a car I knew the milage was going to go down hill. Not trying to be smart about it I was just wondering.

cuz with a certain turbo set ups i know that you can maintain decent highway miles. i was wondering if the kenne bell was the same
