Kinda had no choice haha. $2500 later and a built motor with cams and some other goodies.

That's another thing I love about Mustangs.

When/if it DOES break, just replace the stock parts with aftermarket upgraded goodies. =]

Yes. You cant cross the man rule. You just dont replace stock parts with another stock part. Its a BIG NO.

My Cobra has 140,000 HARD miles on it, and I just started spraying it at 135,000 (bought at 130,000). They'll run forever if you take care of them, and they'll run for a long time even if you don't. I usually use Mobil 1 and add a little extra due to the huge DOHC valve covers.

That's a sick picture!

I always follow the fix it rule, but $2500 means the car would be sitting for 6 months!

With routine maintenance and depending how hard there driven they should go well over 300k.

yeah i almost never see any gt's at the junkyard, they usually have the 6 clys though

I have a friend who likes to neglect his poor car by having on the original serpentine belt. It actually looks in better condition than my new belt that is only 8 months old for the 03. He has 245k miles on his car and is still running strong last I knew.

In an F150 I have seen 400k with nothing more than external parts replaced.
