Default The Age Old Question: How Can I Use All-Red Tails in a 99 Cobra

Does anyone have any insight in this. I have a chance to get my hands on a set of all red tail lights and keep my ambers. How can I make them work? I have googled and found very scattered, inaccurate data on this subject.

I thought most knew what the differences were, guess not.

The 1999-2001 Cobras, inc. the R in 2000, have a 5 bulb tail light set up, with a brick of amber on the bottom outside corner of each light. That is the acting turn light. The harness in turn is different. I have yet to be able to be able to successfully trace down the harness diagram that shows the full tail light wiring.

I am looking to change the wiring (if it is not rewiring the whole system) to be able to run the 4 light tail lights which is the all red system.

I know there are people on here that have done the reverse of what you are doing, I think its pretty easily done. Hopefully one of them will chime in for ya.
