If you put the car up on stands or a lift. remove the dust cover if your still has one over the clutch fork, and look at the bearing on the input shaft that's held by the clutch fork. that's your throwout (clutch release) bearing. you can usually visually see if it's broken.

there a bout inch to 2inches of play with the clutch and im gonna tear into it this week and inspect it before i order a clutch

Did ya'lls new trans get the syncro on reverse? I know my T45 dosent and thats exactly what he describes as the reverse issue.

2" is far too much, should be 1" to 1¼" max. At 2" free play the clutch may not be fully disengaging...

k well i keep on adjusting the clutch under the hood and its almost perfect for bout 20 min then it slowly get worse and worse where i can barley get it into any gear. And why now the only way i can get it into reverse is if i put it into 4th gear first then put it in reverse?
