Yup, on both the older cable driven and newer digitally driven indicators the odometer is driven by the same input (cable or SCP data).

And to the OP, why don't you just tune be readjusted so the speedo will be fixed for your stock gears?
Good question! I missed that he had the SCT tuner, he can just use it to reprogram the read-end gear ratio...

so i plugged it back in, and the speedometer is off, lik eyall said. so thanks!
and it shifts alot harder than usual, is that fine?
