Default 2000 cams

Im looking into cams and i need some input on the issue. Stage one or stage two? Also can a shop press on my old cam gears onto the new ones? How much HP diff is there between stage one and two? Is stage two more high rpm related?

thanks guys

heres my current mods:

2000 GT auto, sss catback, upr OR X, sct tuned, 4.10's, CAI

way to many threads on this already... Not being an a$$ just giving you a heads up. You can search and find a million of these. It all depends on your future plans for everything. And every companys stage one and twos are different.

the higher the stage the higher rpm they require. there isnt much HP difference, less than 10rwhp for JUST a cammed bolton 2v mustang. if your gonna do cams i suggest you just go ahead and do the stage 2's, no point in spending 2 grand or more for stage 1's when stage 2's will cost the same and give you a little better power and better sound.

well lets see here...... the cams are what, 650? plus springs, gaskets, etc... depending on if the shop degrees your cams or you send them off thats a couple hundred bucks. however much the labor is gonna be (i would guestimate anywhere from 500-1000$). plus 500 for the tune. i havent seen anyone post actual cost for a cam install from start to finish, but its common sense that its gonna cost you a hell of a lot more than the cost of hte cams. im not saying that the cams themselves are going to cost 2 grand......
