High milage oil additives...experience/thoughts??
I have about 90k on my 96 gt. It has a problem with slowly buring oil. Ill have to add some oil every so often. I Bought Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to add in with the oil. my friend swears by it. also what kid of oil should i be using/blending with my engine with this sort of problem?
any expierence or help would be great

Lucas sucks, not good for your engine, tests were done where it was added to oil and put in a blender type device and the oil foamed up. no good for the engine. I have used a product called restore and it works well for me, try that.

Just my $.02 - I have a Ford Probe GT (V6) with 96k miles, 5 speed, it had a problem with losing a quart of oil every few hundred miles. That was when I was using full Mobil Synthetic 5w-30. I started using Quaker State high mileage (dark red bottle) oil and I haven't lost any since, been through a few oil changes with the stuff, I think it works awesome.
