Default shaker hood question

I have a 04 Competition orange Gt. In my opinion the sexiest style mustang( other than the cobra) that was built.. Maybe not the most powerful, but you catch my drift. I love the shaker kit, however to me it looks like the stock mustang, obviously with the really ram air. However I LOVE the cowl hood. Is there any company, or is it possible/stupid to put a cowl hood with a shaker kit? I know there is no point of that, but I just want the car to look more aggressive, both above and below the hood.
I wont be able to afford a super/turbo charger, but I think this will be a great addition.
Any suggestions?

do you have any idea how much you would spend to do that? for literally no horsepower gain?

the shaker kit itself costs about 800$ and doesnt even include a hood. the "cowl" is just a plastic piece that attaches to the stock hood.

and your wanting to buy an actual cowl hood (500+ easy), paint it (not cheap), and attach the 800$ shaker kit to it?

NEVER seen that before that is different. i put the shaker kit on mine and that plastic piece/cowl came flying off at 135mph on the autobhan to order the actual mach 1 hood in germany at their ford dealer they told me 799euro= well over $1000 in american dollars and no paint so after I got back to the states I ordered a mach 1 hood from carpartswholesale for $380 and painted it for $120.

I would do one or the other, not both.

Another suggestion would be that if you do the shaker I'd do the ford hood. The CDC kit is a definate cheaper way to go but the ford mach 1 hood looks so much better.

The actual Mach 1 hood that Ford used is a bit taller than stock. Just find a wrecked Mach and pick off the parts you need.

Will the stock GT hood work with the shaker setup or is having a Mach I hood necessary?

From what I'm reading on the Classic Design Concepts website the stock GT hood can be used. I have a kit on my 07 GT from this company and love it, quality is high. Here's a link for you, give them a call. http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...ct_detail&p=53

the stock hood is used with the shaker kit. After you buy it and take it to a shop the cut a hole for the shaker to fit throught and there is a plastic applique that goes around the entire shaker and lays semi-flat on your hood to cover up the cutting. thats the peice i lost on the autobahn but it did ok in the states. I have since then purchased a aftermarket mach1 hood to go alont with the shaker kit I got from CDC. The kit works with the stock hood but there will be some cutting.
