225 crank HP I believe. Your probally looking at high 14's maybe low 15's for 1/4 mile.

Good point, 98's not really the best starting vechile ive ever seen.Not like mine is either.

when i bought my 98 i was like sweet, then i realized i bought on of the slowest years available. Nevertheless i love my mustang just wish i woulda bought 99+

96-97 is probally the slowest recent years.

My 98 was cool, but if you want more hp then go with 99-04 GT's. If you really love the SN95 body then get a 96-98 Cobra to start with.

i have a 98 gt with offroad exhaust cold air intake pulleys and some other stupid **** and i ran a 14.529 @ 95.20 mph and that was my first time taking it to the track. i talked to other people with similar mods and pretty much every gt was running somewhere in the 14's

94-95 is slower...at least from my trips to the track.

Depending on elevation, anywhere from 14.6-14.9 is average.
