upgrading the rear end
#2
It depends on how crazy your going to get with your power, but a new differential would be a start and maybe while its out you could thrown in some new gears. Also maybe some new 31 spindle axles and while you have it out upgrade with some new slotted and drilled rotars and some bigger calipers. Of course you could just drop a 9in in and solve all your problems.

control arms and such since more power needs better suspension
differential and axles
i have no idea why the brake suggestion came up, rear brakes are only like 10% of your stopping force. the money spent on those could MUCH better be spent elsewhere. slotted and drilled rotors are garbage anyways. slotted is acceptable, but i would NEVER buy drilled rotors unless it was for a show car that RARELY saw a road.

I personally went with Motive AX 4.30's, a GT500 differential, Moser 31 splines, Moser wheel studs and a TA cover. Spent just over $1000 install included.
Also, a quality set of lca's. I recommend HPM Megabites or Maximum Motorsports.

When you start making more power things to consider are 31 spline differential,
31 spline axles, new master bearing kit,new ring and pinion, aftermarket lower
control arms.
Your front brakes take about 90% of the braking force and your rear brake about
10%.I would consider slotted rotors like Powerslot rotors but, definitley I would
never get crossdrilled rotors since they have been known to crack on us Ford
Mustang enthusiasts.Although I would check the level of wear on your brake pads
and see if they need to be replaced.
Ring and pinion I would consider would be FRPP Ford Racing 3.73's or 4.10's.

I've heard of some people saying to go with the Motive AX series instead. I am looking at getting some 4.30's in the near future to replace my 4.10's (mostly because my rear end is ****ed, again).

I'm doing a rear build over the winter as well, going with a FRPP 31 spline dif with carbon fiber clutches, moser 31 spline c-clip axles, 3.73 gears, welded axle tubes, welded torque boxes, MM xd lower control arms and the baseline suspension street launch kit.
