Default Rear Main Seal Seeping

Just wondering, how serious is this and what are my options?
I am not going to be doing this myself and will be bringing it to a shop.

From what I've read, it's about the same as a clutch job, but still doesn't give me an idea on cost. Would it be close enough to what a 600hp alum shortblock from aed cost? or what about MMR 750 alum shortblock?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.. I'm a complete engine noob so I have no idea what to do.

Clutch has about another year and a half life span of reg driving.

Lucky thing here its not like the old engines. Yes its like a clutch job since you have to remove the flywheel. The seal in pressed into a plate that is bolted to the back of the engine. Im about to do one myself with a full clutch/flywheel replacement. Your only other options are to ignore it or run thicker oil. Call around for pricing, its about a 6-8 hour job with a lift and some long extensions. I would put aside a weekend doing it myself in a driveway without air tools.

How serious it is depends on how bad it is leaking. Is it a just a little wet with a few drops on the ground or is there a hefty spot? IMO the hardest part will be getting the trans to slide back into the engine, the rest isn't that hard. However I have never pulled a trans with it in the car and I hear that can be a pain. Are you sure you wanna pay a shop to do it and not have a friend or two help you?

it's just a little moist around the rim. I have been in and out of the hospital as of late so my gf brought my car for an oil change + 75k and thats what the guys at the shop said.

I just don't wanna pay to have them fix the issue just to pay again a few months later for a clutch job.

Its fine for it to be moist, it can wait. I'd park it on a piece of cardboard or something just to see if it is leaking a little too.
