Default Is it difficult to install new dash cluster in 1996 gt?

Im looking to buy these: http://www.americanmuscle.com/fomugt96sire.html

The instructions seem simple enough, but ive never done anything with a dash before, is this a difficult task better left un-done? or is it reasonably simple?

Thanks guys

It's not so bad. I have a 99 GT so I think we have the same type of dash. Just like the instructions say, the two Torx bolts come out, the bezel comes out, and four bolts hold the cluster in. The cluster comes apart, you put the overlays on, and put it back in reverse. The only hard part is wiring it up. The directions are going to tell you to tap into the fat gray wire. The BEST advice I have to you is to have some extra wire handy, just small gauge wire from a stereo install even. Tap into that wire and run extra over to your transformer/module for your new dash lights, and run a ground to a metal point in your cluster, or if you're like me and don't have that, run a ground wire down to your stereo and tap into the black ground wire. I have an aftermarket stereo so it was easy. It might not be the best way, but it really worked for me.

Of course, do any of these at your own risk and follow the directions, but I'm just giving you my insight.

Alright thanks..i was only concerned cause ive never done any sort of dash or electrical work in a car. So i didn't know how difficult it would be. It seems like it will be simple enough though
