Cool 4.6 Ford Racing control pack for engine swap

Alright guys, heres my story...im dropping a 427 supercharged roush engine into my 99 mustang. The whole front supension is done, k member, shocks, springs, mounts and all that good stuff. i came across the Ford Racing control pack for 4.6 modular engines to swap them into older stangs. It cost me around $1300, and I was wondering if any of you guys have worked with this kit, i wanna get tips and opinions about this swap and how hard is to work this kit, any comments will be greatly appreciated. thanks

The stock computer is capable of running that motor with the correct calibration. However I don't believe you can keep the VTT. Do you have a link to the control pack that you were thinking about?

The control pack has everything you need to do the swap, like a special wiring harness, a new ECU, fuse box and the electric pedal... You can find it in the ford racing webpage

I took a quick look last night, one other thing you will need to worry about is the fuel system. Those "control packs" can not drive a returnless fuel system.

Yeh, I knew I had to change the fuel system, the exhaust has to be customize too... But you think I should go with an 05-09 tranny or should I stick with the 99-04 5 speed!? Cause I think the tranny cross member will be a problem too if I go with the 05-09.... Let me what you think. Also, have you got more into the wiring!? Ford says the control pack its the easiest way to install the modular engine.. But local performance shops are charging me a lot to install it...they say its a hassle, so I don't know who to trust...

Keep the transmission setup you have now. I don't doubt that the control pack is the easiest way to install a mod motor in a rotrod but your car came with a very similar engine from the factory. I still think it would be far cheaper to lock the cams and delete VTT. That way you can run the stock computer thats in teh car. Also from what I can tell there isn't a "Control Pack" that comes pre calibrated for that supercharged engine so you would still need to pay for someone to calibrate it on a load dyno.
