Default Questions for lowering and 20" wheels for an 02' GT

I have an 02'GT that has an Eibach Pro Kit and 18" staggered FR500's. I am running 265/35's in the front and 295/35's out back. I had issues with the tires being too wide and rubbing out back but rolling the fenderwell lips solved the problem. I want my car to sit lower though. Another 1.5" to 2" would be preferable. Does anyone make drop spindle for mustangs? How can I get my car lower? Is cutting the springs a bad idea?

On another subject: I found a really great deal on some staggered Foose Nitrous 20's for my Mustang. Any thoughts on these? Can I expect any fitment issues with 20's? I rarely see 20's on the 99-04 Mustangs. I have 3:73 gears out back- will 4:10's be better for the 20's?

Thanks for any insight ya'll can provide.

Also, can I expect any alignment issues by going lower? What would correct this? Caster/camber kits?

Looks awesome. Any alignment issues? Uneven tire wear etc.?

you would need to get an alignment as with any changes to your suspension.

you don't see 20's on 99/04's because they look like *** on new edges. Just because they are Foose does not mean they belong on your car

The issue in which to be concerned is the overall tire diameter here, not the size of the wheels.

Your ride came OEM with 25.6" diameter tires and about the absoute max that will fit, would be a 28" tire on non-lowered ride. A 20" wheel will seriously hinder your options for tires and would ask that you reconsider both a 20" wheel and another 1.5" to 2" drop. This would put you about 1" from the ground and would be the most horrible handing/riding Mustang on the face of the planet, sorry

As long as your asking for opinions, I think 18's look just right on the 99-04 stangs. I've seen a few with 19's that pull it off but you have to have the perfect combo of tires and drop. More drop is not going to help matters. 20's are out of the question for these cars. You can get away with 20's on the 05 and up stangs due to the larger body style and wheel openings. I'd stick with the 18's but its your car.
