Default tranny life span 3650

how long do they usually last if treated nicley 9 outa 10 times jw cuz i got 66,000k on mine and was thinking about upgrading to a new/different transmission

unless your pushing some serious power or your tranny is acting up theres no NEED to swap your tranny. going to a t56 or something will give you better gear ratios but thats about it.

if you havent done so change your tranny fluid and use 3L of fluid, if youve never changed it its about time to do so and your tranny was overfilled from the factory with 3.2L so it made the trannys a little crappy to shift.

My 3650 lasted 4 years at 250-300hp, 1 year at 700rwhp and has been in a 600hp car for the last year and still going strong.

they last. the syncros do go on them after alot of powershifting. 3rd AND 4th gear syncros went out on me but I take the blame for shifting like it was a rockcrusher tranny. you're fine with the one you have.

hmmm yeaa i changed my trans fluid at 60,000k and its working perfect was jw see if maybe it was gonna **** out on me soon or not thanks for the info fellas

If you're not racing and doing things like powershifting all the time, if you know how to drive it and keep up on the maintenence a manual transmission should practically last forever.
