Taking the heads off with the engine in the car is a pain. Any time I need to do work like that I just pull the engine since it only take about 1.5 hours to do.

You have notched pistons so bringing each cyl to TDC will not work you have to use compressed air. Don't buy the overpriced OTC tool get the trickflow one. Same exact thing but a fraction of the price.

Hmm, I didn't know Trickflow made one. The OTC one is expensive, that's the reason I didn't get it.

yea i bought the trickflow one, same exact stuff was only $35 shipped

any write ups on how to pull the motor? i my friend has a cherry picker thing where u pull the motor out and i have the engine stand so its doable as long as its not a total pita. im most nervous about the tranny area and how ill get it to go back on properly (never have pulled a motor before). since ill be doing that ill most likely do shorties at the same time

HEY! just thought of something, will taking off the hood, undoing the motor mounts. and just jacking up the motor as high as it goes give me enough clearence to do the work? or is STILL removing the whole motor the best approach lol
