Im not sure if I am understanding the statement, are you saying you have 10k to work with? Because if so thats not going to cut it. Or are you saying you have 10k into it and you have no budget?

this is true, I've put right at $13k into mine and i got just over 600rwhp. To get a 1k+ rwhp modular is insane expensive.

No. I bought the car has salvage, and had to do the body work, repairs, paint etc. my self. Then I started too mod out the factory options (driveshaft, gears, tranny, etc.) I'm not worried about a budget. I do ALL my work myself.

Opps. Forgot to upload new pics! Pics are 2 years old.
Just out of curiousity....why 1000rwhp? Are you building strictly a dyno queen or are you looking to build this to blow the doors of just about anything on the street?

Pretty much a "street legal" (under antique plate rules (another 5 years!!!)) drag car that will run anything on the strip or street. That and everyone with a V8 always goes to 900HP and stops. That and I want to be unique. Supercharged and twin turbo'd. Maybe some nitrous for the strip.
That and my father (a master mechanic, and professional drag racer) as challenged me to build a 4 digit (1000+) HP street legal car that is faster than his 1000HP Trans-Am WS6.
To answer your question then...you better have F'ing DEEEEEEEP pockets.
And time. All work and labor is being done myself (except the tune). I've estimated about $50k when it's said and done. Saving a lot on labor, because of my self-labor. This is going to be a 5 year project too, so it's not like it's all coming together in the next year. I'm currently stripping out the car, and prepping it for a new paint job.
Black-on-black. Stripped race interior, with dark tint (I love antique plates) and tinted lights. It's rice-ish, but it'll look good. My last T-Bird (motor blew apart, and I didn't want to fix it) was done that way. Looked great!
