Default 4v head... bind

So i started my 97 GT awhile ago, and recently got my shortblock back with complete forged bottom end.. Well listening to my neighbor that thinks he knows cars my wife bought me a set of 4v cobra heads for christmas and a kit including tensioner arms, chain guides, timming cover, the timing chains, cam sprockets and spacers, and the trigger wheel, HE told her thats all thats needed for the conversion, and if i dont do this now shes gonna think i didnt like her present, SO, anyone else know what im going to need? Or a nice way to let my wife down without pissing her off, shes been kinda great throughout this entire build... thank

Actually, I have everything else you're going to need for swap, minus the coolant crossover and alternator.

Are the B or C heads?

You're going to need:

-Valve covers
-Coils
-Timing cover
-Intake and fuel rails
-Belt tensioner
-Cams
-Coolant crossover
-Alternator

You'll also have to extend a few wires on the stock harness, nothing major. And reverse the polarity (flip the wires) going to the coils.

Find out if they're B or C heads. I have everything I listed minus the crossover and alternator for a C head swap.

I did this swap myself last year, but now I'm selling the setup to fund another project. So if you have C heads, let me know, and if you want to get the rest of the stuff, I'll give you a good deal if you get it all out of my garage in one shot, lol. I need room for my new ****, lol.

PM me if you want anything, I'll send some pics.

Ah, that's right.

My midpipe worked with the stock 4v exhaust manifolds. It was a Pypes X pipe, and you were able to move the passenger side pipe. I don't know if the stock midpipe will work.

Stock GT mid pipe bolts up fine to Cobra style manifolds.
