How on earth would it hurt your tranny? The tune in the programmer is designed specifically for your make/model/year car. As long as you don't mess with the tune too much you should be fine, but I'm no expert. Just make sure the tuner you are buying was MADE FOR YOUR CAR MAKE/MODEL/YEAR.

As I said in post #2, it will not hurt your transmission. Heat and not changing the fluid and filter will.

It will NOT HURT your transmission if you install the performance tune. I also suggest that you shut off the shift modulation and up your shift pressure for your 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Again this will not hurt your transmission, it will actually help it last a little longet because when the car shifts harder/firmer the less that the transmission is slipping = less wear on it. Get the tuner and have fun with it you will really like hoe it shifts when you are done with it.

Devonjan59, do not chime in if you do not know/or unsure what you are talking about. The predator tuner can only be used on one car because as soon as you install the performance tune on it it becomes VIN locked to that car until the stock tune is re-installed on it. Only at that point in time can it be used on another car, and once again once the tune is loaded on that car it becomes VIN locked to that car.

However whenever ur friend bought that tuner from the manufacturer they programmed it specifically for his car cause otherwise everyone would hook up their friends with just one tuner....just a reminder
thats not true a tuner can only program one stang at a time. you would have to completely remove the tune from your stang in order to put it in another stang. otherwise how would they stay in business they would sell like 1 and the whole world would have it.
