Default 2004 Gt Seatbelt

Well i have had a 2000 mustang v6 and now have a 04 gt and both had crapy seat belts. Mine nevern want to retract after i unbuckle. Is there any thing anyone has done to fix this problem or any suggestions on how to fix it?

I think this is a common problem that some people got fixed via warranty back then

Mine does the same thing...it's very annoying

I am interested in a fix as well

dont know about a fix, but you can buy a replacement from ford. I replaced my passenger side a long time ago. Pretty easy, all you need is a t-47 (i think) socket.

Yeah mine is also screwed up, on both sides. Anyone know how to fix this?

I think it is the return spring/coil inside the retractor getting weak. I don't think you can fix it you would just have to replace the whole belt assembly.

I had this issue and it was the retractor. My car was still under warranty so Ford fixed it.
